From north to south, with climates that range from bearable cold to year-round tropical heat, there’s always a good time to visit for every occasion. By the time you arrive in Vietnam, the gracious local folks and their hospitable warmth will leave you speechless on the joyous exchange of your own.

AMAZING NORTHERN VIETNAM:

Each season of the North has its beauty that cannot be mixed with any other place. So your choice of traveling to the North of Vietnam depends on which warm or cold weather you want to experience in this wonderland.

Feel the typical atmosphere of the transition from winter to spring when a little cold wind and drizzle remain with the temperature at around 17-22°C so remember to prepare umbrellas when you go sightseeing. The chilly weather and thin rays of sunlight will make you shiver a little in the morning, especially when the cold season peaks in January-March.

The heat of the northern climate will give you a memorable feeling when the weather can continuously change from the gazing sun to drizzle and vice versa quite often. So be prepared when choosing to travel between May and October

Furthermore, the mid-year period usually ranges from July to September which is often considered the wettest season.

From October onwards, autumn in the North is often the most popular with tourists because the dry and cool air will be the right time for you to travel anywhere.

EPIC CENTRAL VIETNAM:

Divided into 3 distinct regions because it occupies the longest part of the S-shaped strip of land. Despite being characterized by hot and humid weather, there are two distinct seasons: the rainy season and the dry season with normal temperatures reaching mid 30°C.

Rainfall in the “winter” months will be the wettest period, commonly known as the stormy season in the Central region.

The weather in the summer changes significantly by the rolling mountains separated by different hot and cold climates. There will be hot winds in this area, so be sure to prepare plenty of water as you travel throughout the day.

The most prominent of which can be seen is between Hue and Hoi An in the first months of the year. The South Central region including Nha Trang and Da Nang is often popular with tourists because of the long dry season and less chance of rain.

From Hoi An to Quy Nhon, there is a relatively easier climate, but mostly it is quite dry in the summer months.

The optimal difference and also the top destination of domestic and international tourists is Da Lat. Located separately at the height of the Central Highlands, it will usually fall in the wettest period, which is June – October. Tourists should come around from November to May because the weather is relatively stable.

November – May is seemingly the most convenient time to visit “The foggy city” named Da Lat, Lam Dong province, central highlands Vietnam.

If you want to experience the coldest feeling, you can visit this place in December – January.

EXHILARATING SOUTHERN VIETNAM:

With a typical sub-equatorial climate, this area is quite similar to the Central region, but often does not suffer from harmful winds from neighboring countries, so it is not too harsh and dry. The South Central Coast has a fairly long dry season, and the rainy season usually comes around summer.

The dry season begins in November and ends in April or early May, with late February to May being slightly hotter and more humid. Specifically, in places like Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Mui Ne, Phu Quoc, and Con Dao, you will enjoy a series of warm sunny days on the long coastline.

In big cities like Ho Chi Minh, Tay Ninh, and along the Southwest region, there are Long An, Dong Nai, etc., where there are few changes during the year because the climate is quite mild.

The wet season lasts from May until early November, with June, July, and August receiving the most rainfall. During much of the wet season, rain can be expected almost daily, though often in short bursts around mid-afternoon.

Be aware to travel during wet season as the traffic in big cities may cause you inconveniences.
