Koh Rong Samloem

One of Cambodia’s most well-known tourist destinations, Koh Rong is still a paradise island. This beautiful place is an exceptionally good option for people who genuinely want to take a relaxing, stress-free vacation away from the smog and dust. You can still sense Koh Rong’s wildness, wonder, and clarity despite the area’s fairly advanced tourism industry.

Lazy beach

Ranked second out of the “21 most beautiful beaches in the world” as chosen by National Geographic magazine. This beach, which is one of the islands of Koh Rong Samloem’s shining pearls and draws many visitors, is situated on the west side of the island.

The beach always gleams in the sunlight, and the mountains that surround it in the distance create incredible beauty. The main feature that visitors seek at Lazy Beach is a cozy, fully tranquil area.

Lazy beach is not easily accessible, therefore it will be ideal for adventurous young adults who like to travel alone rather than with their families. The journey to this idyllic beach begins with a boat pickup from Saracen Bay and ends with a 40-minute hike through the jungle.

Saracen Bay

It is a popular tourist site for visitors visiting Koh Rong. Additionally, this bay is frequently visited by main boats on most Cambodian tours, making it quite handy for travelers. You can find a really tranquil resort area with exquisitely lovely views at Saracen Bay. Saracen Bay has seen investment and development over the past two years, with brand-new stores, hotels, and tourist information centers around the waterfront.

Tourists can have an enjoyable and relaxing time in the guest House in Koh Rong Samloem Island at dusk.

In this area, The One Resort and Sol Beach Resort come highly recommended as resorts with a variety of pools, dining options, luxurious villas, and bars in the Khmer style. Saracen Bay is a fantastic suggestion for everyone, kids and couples alike.

Cuisine

Amok Fish Dish

If you skip out on Koh Rong’s renowned amok fish dish, it would be a grave error. One of the stunning dishes made by the Cambodian people. This dish appears to include all of the distinctive flavors of Cambodia.

Amok – Combining a steamed, mousse-like custard made of curry paste, with river fish and coconut milk, usually served in a banana leaf cup or coconut shell.

Snakehead fish or catfish are used to prepare the amok fish dish, which is then elegantly wrapped in green banana leaves with coconut water, palm sugar, and Prohok fish sauce. To make it very striking, add a few leaves of the slok Ngor plant.
