Visit these destinations to admire Cherry Blossom in Dalat this Spring!

This time of the year is perfect for a visit to one of the most beloved cities in Vietnam – Da Lat – and admire the cherry blossoms flourishing.

Without a doubt, the radiant pink petals of Da Lat always charmed visitors by its beauty every year. Comprising a wide source of natural quintessence and diverse flower ranges, this wonderland has easily become the tourism hub for visitors to contemplate. 

Around January each year, the streets of Da Lat are filled with the signature pastel color of pink all over the breezy atmosphere between 14 – 16 degrees. In the heart of the city, cherry blossoms are grown on Tran Hung Dao street, Co Giang street, Pho Duc Chinh or Nam Ho Street. In the suburban area, there are even more that can easily be seen in Cau Dat, Lang Biang hillside, and Tuyen Lam Lake.

From now until the end of January 2024, the frivolous pink blossoms will be at its most brilliant bloom. Cherry Blossoms have 5 petals, it shall be at their finest when the tree no longer has leaves left and carries a billowy pink from branch to tip.     

• Cau Dat Tea Plantation 

This is the first plantation in Da Lat that has cherry blossoms flourishing in early 2024. Coming here from the central city, tourists can follow Tran Hung Dao – Hung Vuong Street and roll up onto the Mat Camp (Trai Mat). Then, you can ask the local residents to reach the destination.

Besides the plantation, the roadsides from Mat Campt to Cau Dat are also planted with cherry blossoms, flourishing and attracting check-in people. It is only about 10 km away from the central Da Lat.

• Mong Dao Nguyen 

Apart 15 km from Da Lat, you can see a patch of forest at the slopes of Lang Biang Hillside composed of fleeting petals welcoming a new season to come. The area has a unique name that most tourists would refer to as “Mong Dao Nguyen”.

A sky with outstanding pink colors, interwoven with vast green tones of diverse flora, making the scenery here seem to be encapsulated into a beautiful picture that makes any visitor shall be amazed. Getting here is quite the hard-call. The road is quite steep, you can choose to traverse by jeep or freely explore the area by motorbike if you believe in mastering the mountainous hill.

• Tuyen Lam Lake & Ho Xuan Huong Lake 

This is a well-known destination for young people to camp as it is not too far away from the heart of Da Lat. Since 2009, Tuyen Lam Lake tourist area has 25 hectares invested in growing cherry blossoms, not to mention many businesses also participating in planting to create landscapes to attract more visitors. Cherry blossoms usually bloom from January to the end of February and then gradually fade. Depending on the weather, cherry blossoms bloom on different occasions each year.

Located at the center of Da Lat City, it would be a mistake if you come here many times but it’s not in cherry blossom season. That means you’ve missed out on the rare charm and romance that’s hard to find somewhere else, at another time. Note that the road with the most blooming flowers is from Da Lat aquatic restaurant to the city flower garden.

• Da Quy Alley 

This is one of the dreamiest alleyways that is chosen to be a must-stop for the newlyweds photoshoot  as there are various romantic corners to capture the memory. Located at Xuan Tho – Trai Mat, quite close to Cau Dat Plantation on Hung Vuong Street. It was once famous for photographers taking spring photos, but recently it has been more common for tourists and young people to contemplate.

At this time around, Da Lat is quite cold, especially in the evening. Surrounded with pine trees and captivating landscapes, spring is the best time to visit the city as there are various ranges of flowers blossoming.
