Days 1
LUANG PRABANG ARRIVAL
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel and relaxed.
Before dinner you will learn how to cook at Tamarin restaurant. Then you will have dinner and savor what you made before going back to the hotel.
Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Days 2
LUANG PRABANG - PAK OU CAVE
Observe Tagbat, the monks’ rounds, early in the morning. It is a sacred tradition that reflects the Lao people’s culture and spirituality. You will also interact with local people in Luang Prabang and learn more about their culture.
Breakfast at hotel. Start the journey to visit:
- Visit to the old city with Vat Vixone, influenced by Tai-Lue architecture and That Makmo – the watermelon shaped stupa.
- Visit Vat Xieng Thong, a 16th century temple that is one of the most beautiful in Luang Prabang.
- Go to the local pier on the Mekong and take a traditional boat to travel upstream and see the holy Buddha caves.
- On the way stop at Thin Hong, a picturesque village and get a glimpse of rural daily life.
- Visit Tham Ting and Tham Phoum, the revered cave temples housing hundreds of Buddha statues.
Have lunch by boat cruise up stream to Pak Ou. Return to Luang Prabang by boat.
- On your way back, visit Ban Xang Khong, a village where they make paper by hand. Drop in the old city.
- Climb up Phousi Hill to see the city and the Mekong River from a high viewpoint and stroll or shop at a Hmong market.
Have dinner. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Days 3
CITY TOUR - KUANG SI WATERFALL
Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast, visit:
- Wat Mai (New Monastery) is one of the biggest and most beautiful temples in Luang Prabang.
- Vat Sense – houses two long boats which are used in the annual Boat Racing Festival.
Have lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon, visit:
- The Royal Palace Museum where you can see the most important treasures of Laos’ recent history.
- Move to Kuangsi waterfall – Take a short walk through the forest to the waterfall. Enjoy the scenery and swim in one of the clear pools nearby.
Return to Luang Prabang. Have dinner. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Days 4
LUANG PRABANG - DESTINATION
Have breakfast and check out the hotel.
Our guide and driver will meet and pick you up to the airport, and take the flight to your next destination. End trip.
